Almond Butter Recipe

ingredients

makes about 225 g (8 oz)

1 stick (8 Tbsp)4 oz (100 g) butter, softened
7/8 cup (100 g) 4 oz ground almonds
about 2 tbsp (30 ml) caster sugar (superfine granulated)
2.5 - 5 ml (1/2 - 1 tsp) lemon juice
few drops of almond essence

method

1. Put the butter in a mixing bowl and work in the ground almonds thoroughly.

2. Add the sugar, lemon juice and almond essence gradually.

3. Use at once or pot and chill.
